Finite source from geodetic data
The rupture distribution along the seismic source is derived from the analysis of displacement maps (InSAR) obtained through the processing of Sentinel-1, European Space Agency, radar images. InSAR data are produced by the EPOSAR (IREA-CNR) service.
Focal Plane FP1
This source model, derived from 4 InSAR dataset(s) including from 2 to 3 days after the event, is characterized by a single WNW-ESE oriented fault (strike 103°), dipping towards the SSW at 52° degrees and a nearly pure normal rupture (rake -98°). Slip peak is approximately 0.9 m at a depth of 3.0 km. The energy released is 1.9E+17 Nm, corresponding to an M 5.5 earthquake.
