Finite source from geodetic data
The rupture distribution along the seismic source is derived from the analysis of displacement maps (InSAR) obtained through the processing of Sentinel-1, European Space Agency, radar images. InSAR data are produced by the EPOSAR (IREA-CNR) service.
Focal Plane FP1
This source model, derived from 4 InSAR dataset(s) including from 0 to 6 days after the event, is characterized by a single ESE-WNW oriented fault (strike 291°), dipping towards the NNE at 44° degrees and a mainly normal rupture with a left-lateral component (rake -72°). Slip peak is approximately 2.1 m at a depth of 6.3 km. The energy released is 2.3E+19 Nm, corresponding to an M 6.9 earthquake.
