Finite source from geodetic data
The rupture distribution along the seismic source is derived from the analysis of displacement maps (InSAR) obtained through the processing of Sentinel-1, European Space Agency, radar images. InSAR data are produced by the EPOSAR (IREA-CNR) service.
Focal Plane FP1
This source model, derived from 2 InSAR dataset(s) including from 3 to 6 days after the event, is characterized by a single SE-NW oriented fault (strike 304°), dipping towards the NE at 52° degrees and a mainly inverse rupture with a right-lateral component (rake 101°). Slip peak is approximately 1.2 m at a depth of 3.1 km. The energy released is 1.2E+18 Nm, corresponding to an M 6.0 earthquake.
